Age 76, Snyder - Graveside service will be at 2:00pm Wednesday in the Fairlawn Cemetery, Snyder with Bob Boren, Frederick officiating. Mr. Barker died Sunday at his home. Burial with Military honors will be under the direction of Becker Funeral Home of Snyder. *** The family will greet friends Tuesday evening from 6pm until 8pm at the funeral home. *** He was born June 2, 1932 in Tillman County, Oklahoma to Carl Samuel and Lorene (Wilcox) Barker. He married Nellie Ruth Kinder in Vernon, Texas on December 20, 1953. He served in the US Army during Korea. He farmed in the Snyder area all of his life. He is survived by his wife of the home, 3 daughters, Deborah Barker, Vicki Barker and Reneee Barker, all of Arlington, TX, 3 sisters, Clara Mae Montgomery of Roanoke, TX, Norma Jean Russell and husband M.F. of Arlington, TX, Ernestine Kinder of Chattanooga, OK, brother Doyle DeWayne Barker and his wife June of Dell City, TX, 5 Grandchildren, Jacqueline DeLong and husband John of Justin, TX, Heath Barker, Bradlee Barker, Tobi-Rae Barker and Alexander Barker, all of Arlington, TX, and 3 great grandchildren, Kylee DeLong, Blake DeLong and Alexa Barker.
