HMC (Retired) William Odelle "Jeff" Jeffares, Jr., age 78, of Geronimo passed away Friday, October 28, 2022 in Lawton.  He was born May 4, 1944 in Atlanta, Georgia to William Odelle and Dorothy Lucille (Ridgeway) Jeffares. He married Linda A. Anderson in 1975 in Yorktown, Virginia.  Mr. Jeffares was an optician in the Navy, retiring after twenty years of service.  Following his retirement from the Navy, he continued his career as an optician for thirty years.

Survivors include his wife, Linda D. Jeffares, of the home, sister, JoAnne Butler, Macon, Georgia, sister-in-law, Rebecca Lynn Jolly Norman, Oklahoma, brother-in-law, Michael Lytle, Tallahassee, Florida and eight nieces and nephews.
