Henryetta Ortiz passed away peacefully on June 3, 2026. She was born on November 22, 1930, in Richard Spur, Oklahoma, to Frank and Enedina (Trevina) Marcado. Henryetta lived a life centered on family, love, hard work, and generosity. She was a devoted homemaker, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and cherished friend to many.

Throughout her life, Henryetta wore many hats. In addition to being a homemaker for her eight children, she spent many years working as a nanny and as a receptionist at Edna Henessee's Beauty Shop, caring for others and building lasting friendships along the way. She was known for her strength, kindness, humor, and unwavering dedication to those she loved. She was truly the backbone of her family, always offering support, wisdom, and encouragement.

Family was the center of Henryetta's world. She loved gathering with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, creating memories that will be treasured for generations. Affectionately known as "Mimi 2," "Tiny Grandma," and "Abuela," she held a special place in the hearts of all who knew her.

Henryetta enjoyed traveling, spending time with loved ones, and making the most of every moment. She especially loved playing games with her family, particularly Chickenfoot, a dominoes game in which she proudly seemed impossible to beat. She also enjoyed creating dot art and completed many beautiful pieces that she lovingly gifted to family members.

She cherished her time in New Jersey, which became like a second home to her. There, she enjoyed wonderful new friendships, playing Mexican Train dominoes at the clubhouse, and sharing margaritas, coquito, and laughter with wonderful family and friends.

Those who knew Henryetta will remember her as loving, strong, kind, funny, generous, and fiercely devoted to her family. Her legacy lives on through the countless lives she touched with her warmth, laughter, and unconditional love.

Henryetta is survived by her children, Richard Ortiz, Ray Ortiz, and Carmelita Rivenburg; 21 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; and multiple great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Fred Ortiz; and five of her children: Freddie Ortiz, Kathie Stamper, Stella Talerico, Laura Jung-Ortiz, and Danny Ortiz.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her family, friends, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
