Funeral service for Helga A. Oliver will be 1:30 P.M. Monday, October 3, 2016 in the Becker-Rabon Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Brandon Johnson, pastor of First Christian Church officiating.

Burial will follow at Post Cemetery, Fort Sill, Oklahoma.

Helga A. Oliver, age 77, of Lawton, passed away Thursday, September 29, 2016 in Lawton.  She was born April 13, 1939 in Frankfurt, Germany to Emil and Elli Kubesch.  She married Richard Lewis Oliver on January 24, 1960 in Basel, Switzerland.  He died November 15, 1998.  Mrs. Oliver became a U.S. citizen in 1963 in Manhattan, Kansas.  She worked for various moving companies in Lawton and then worked as a cook in the dining facilities at Fort Sill.

Survivors include a son, Richard D. Oliver, Longview, Texas, daughter, Carmen Oliver, Lawton, four grandchildren, Rick Schmidt, Lawton, Michael Horton, Germany, Sabria Edward, San Diego, California and Justin Oliver, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, three great grandchildren, Rick Schmidt and Robert Schmidt, both of Lawton and Daniel Oliver Gomez, San Diego, California, her furrbabies, Schatzi and Lily, many nieces and nephews in Germany, her best friend, Hilde Bilvais, Lawton and her son-in-law, Howard Hoskin, Lawton.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a sister, Petra Kubesch.
