Memorial service for Helga H. Lefebvre will be 9:30 A.M. Monday, October 28, 2019 in the Becker-Rabon Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Ted Edwards, Comanche County Memorial Hospital Hospice officiating.

Placement of the urn will follow at Fort Sill National Cemetery, Elgin.

Helga H. Lefebvrer, age 86, of Lawton, passed away Monday, October 21, 2019 in Lawton.  Affectionately known as Oma, she was born to Karl & Annie Goetz on December 21, 1932.  She was the 9 ^th of 10 children.

She married the love of her life, Joseph J. (Papa Joe) Lefebvre, on February 6, 1954.  They had 5 children, Jeannette Klein, Michael Patrylo, Bruce, Blane & Blake Lefebvre.  She was a homemaker and dedicated her life to the care and nurturing of her children.

Helga enjoyed dancing (she and Papa Joe won many dance contests in their younger years), bowling, playing bingo, gardening, solving crossword puzzles, putting jigsaw puzzles together and playing cards.  The more difficult the puzzle or card game, the better she liked it.  She was very competitive and loved a challenge.

Helga also loved baseball.  For many years she was an avid Atlanta Braves fan, but ultimately shifted to the Chicago Cubs.  She and her son Blake watched many games together rooting for their favorite team.

Helga was also a very good cook.  She was born and raised in Germany and made the best German food, especially potato salad.  There were many family gatherings at her home during the holidays.  She enjoyed preparing an awesome meal and beamed with delight and pride when the compliments poured in.

Helga is survived by her daughter, Jeannette Klein and her husband John Klein, three of her four sons, Bruce Lefebvre and his wife Kathy, Blane Lefebvre and Blake Lefebvre; 7 grandchildren, Stacy Ellis and her husband Gary, Michele Lefebvre, Leah Foster and her husband David, Kari Lefebvre, Jared Lefebvre and his wife Courtney, Bryce Lefebvre and Baylor McCracken; 9 great grandchildren, Owen Ellis, Hayden Lefebvre-Jones, Danica & Jett Martin, Aria & Mason Foster, Kadence & Lucy Mae Lefebvre, and Berlynn McCracken.

Helga is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph J. (Papa Joe Lefebvre), son Michael Patrylo, and 7 of her siblings.

The family expresses tremendous gratitude to Comanche County Memorial Hospital Hospice and Ten Oaks Place for their compassion and excellent care.
