Funeral service for Helen Anita Underwood will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 1, 2018 in the Chapel of Peace Mausoleum at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Dave Dugan, minister at Cache Church of Christ officiating.

Burial will be under the direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home.

Helen Anita Underwood, age 79, of Lawton, passed away Saturday, April 28, 2018 in Lawton.  She was born October 2, 1938 east of Lawton to William Frank and Mary Edith (Wall) Blackburn.  She married SGT (Retired) Paul M. Underwood on January 28, 1972 in Wichita Falls, Texas.  He died October 16, 1992.  Mrs. Underwood was retired from Civil Service and was a member of Eighth & Lee Church of Christ.

Survivors include her son, Roger A. Waldroop, Lawton, step son, Robert Underwood, Jacksonville, North Carolina, granddaughter, Amber Rutherford and her husband, John, Lawton, grandson, Brandon Scott Waldroop, two great granddaughters, Serenity Rutherford and Kami Rutherford, both of Lawton and two sisters, Joyce Guthrie, Dallas, Texas and Shirley Boyce, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
