Funeral service for Helen M. Jardine will be at 1:30 p.m., Friday, December 14, 2018 at the Becker-Rabon Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joe Reyes of Vernon, Texas officiating.

Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

The family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Helen M. Jardine, 91, Lawton, passed away Monday, December 10, 2018 in Lawton.  Helen was born December 25, 1926 in Vernon, Texas to Truett and Grace (Sneed) Bridges. She attended Vernon High School where she met and married Odis M. Smith, the love of her life. Odis passed away September 10, 1979. After the death of Odis, Helen worked at Reynolds Army Hospital at Fort Sill until her retirement. She later married CW4 (Retired) William M. Jardine on June 7, 1984 in Lawton. William passed away August 7, 1987.  Helen was a loving wife and mother who loved her family very much. She liked to bowl and play Bridge and enjoyed her dogs tremendously.

She is survived by her two sons; SFC (Retired) Randall A. Smith of Westcliffe, Colorado, Alton Dale Smith and wife Joyce,  Bronx, New York, a daughter, Cathy Diane Booker Doerfler, Lawton, six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, former daughter-in-law Linda Smith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband Odis M. Smith, second husband William Jardine, two older brothers, T.J. Bridges and Howard Bridges.
