Helen Jean Dees, age 77, formerly of Lawton, passed away Sunday, January 14, 2018 at a nursing home in Waurika.

No services are scheduled. Mrs. Dees' cremated remains will be placed alongside her husband in the Fort Sill National Cemetery Columbarium, Elgin at a later date under the direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home.

Helen Jean Dees was born November 13, 1940 in Boswell, OK to Willie and Opal (Pettit) Krebbs.  She married Billy Edward Dees on November 13, 1959 in Burkburnett, TX. They were married for 48 years before Billy's passing on January 28, 2008. Helen worked as a waitress, a clerk in retail sales, and home based childcare. She spent some time in Germany with her husband when he was stationed there serving in the U.S. Army. She loved tending to her garden and animals.

Helen is survived by her daughter, Karen Dees of Lawton, a son and daughter-in-law, William and Leigh Dees of Tuscaloosa, AL, three brothers, Charles Krebbs of Hatfield, AR, Leland Krebbs of Amarillo, TX, and J.B. Krebbs of Durant, OK, three sisters, Ruthie Longsine of Durant, OK, Klara Coates and Judy Caldwell both of Grand Prairie, TX, and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two sisters, Lenore Ann Grace and Willa Mae Caudill.
