Memorial Mass for Helen Elizabeth Bennett Locke, 91, Lawton will be held at 12:00 pm Friday, February 28, 2014 at Holy Family Catholic Church with Rev. Philip Seeton, Pastor, officiating. Mrs. Locke passed away Tuesday, February 18 at a local care center. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens where the family will gather for a private memorial. She was born March 3, 1922 near Sulphur, Oklahoma to Floyd E. and Myrtle Ellen (Johnson) Bennett. She grew up and graduated high school in Olton, Texas. She married Arnold Locke on April 1, 1945 in Birmingham, Alabama and started their family right away. Helen was an only child and at numerous times told her children she always wanted a big family, and true to her word she and Arnold had five sons and a daughter. He died January 9, 1995. She is survived by her five children, Jerald Locke, Tulsa, Paul Locke and wife Amy, Francis Locke, all of Lawton, Barbara Kahue and husband M. Warren, Cache, and David Locke Sr. and wife Mary, Lawton; seven grandchildren, Jennifer Ward and husband Craig, Che' Kahue, Randi Hobbs and husband Russell, Leah Buff and husband Dusty, Misty Locke Taylor and husband M. Logan, Lesley Locke Rodriguez and husband William, and David Locke Jr. and wife Brandi; twelve great grandchildren, Alexis Ward, Ryan Ward, Harper Hobbs, Avery Hobbs, Karsyn Hobbs, Lily Buff, Madison Taylor, Michael Taylor, BreeAnne Rodriguez, Liam Rodriguez, Devin Locke and Abigail Locke; and special friend and caregiver, Tina Bills. Tina gave far and above what her job required, giving her love and personal time to help care for Helen. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Peter Locke and a great grandson, Gideon Buff.
