Funeral service for Hazel M. Bean, 99, former Lawton resident will be 1:30 p.m. Friday, April 26, in Bible Baptist Church with Dr. Bob Weger, Pastor officiating. Mrs. Bean died Monday, April 15, 2013 in Houston, Texas. The family will greet friends at the church prior to the funeral from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. Burial will be in Post Cemetery, Fort Sill, under the direction of the Becker-Rabon Funeral Home. Mrs. Bean was born May 30, 1913 in Crown City, Ohio, to Thomas Greer and Bertha Jane (Syrus) Dillon. She married 1SG (Retired) Paul Bean, Jr. on June 2, 1961 at Lawton. He preceded her in death on April 30, 1985. She had worked in retail and retired from Montgomery Wards in Lawton. She was a member of Bible Baptist Church. Survivors include her nieces, Donna Manning, Anita Strauss and Connie Swietanski; several grandchildren including, Kimberly J. Moore, Tanya Moss and William E. Moore; several great grandchildren including, Dylan Moore and Kyra N. Moore; two daughters in law, Vivian C. Moore and Elaine Farley Moore; numerous nieces and nephews. Her husband and two sons, Leland Moore and Charles F. Moore, five brothers and three sisters preceded her in death.
