Age 98, Checotah, Oklahoma - Funeral services will be at 10:00 am Saturday at Cameron Baptist Church with Rev. Bob Jones, Pastor officiating. Mrs. Arnold passed away peacefully at her home in Checotah on Thursday, January 27, 2011. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens under the direction of Becker Funeral Home & Cremation Service. She was born August 14, 1912 in Addington, Oklahoma to Millie and Elza Love. Her family moved to the Hulen Community in the 1930's. In 1934 she married Omer Houston Arnold of Hulen. Hazel lived most of her life in Cotton and Comanche County. She moved to Checotah, Oklahoma in the 1990's and made it her home. She is survived by her son Rex Arnold and his wife Linda Susan of Checotah, Oklahoma, two grandchildren, Trellys and husband Mike Riley of LaGrange, Georgia, Joseph Arnold and wife Marie of Columbus, Georgia, nine great grandchildren, sisters-in-law Della Mosby of Keota, Oklahoma, Eulalia Arnold of Bixby, Oklahoma, special niece Billie and her husband Chester Bailey of Checotah, Oklahoma, and a host of nieces, nephews from the Love, Arnold, Buttram, Holt, Scoggins and Woodall families. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one sister and two brothers.
