Age 98, Snyder - Graveside service will be at 11:00am Tuesday in the Fairlawn Cemetery, Snyder, with Rev. Jeff Flowers, Pastor of the First Baptist Church, Snyder officiating. Mr. Ford died Friday in a Snyder nursing home. Burial with military honors will be under the direction of Becker Funeral Home of Snyder. *** The family will greet friends Monday evening at the funeral home from 6pm until 8pm. *** He was born July 10, 1910 in Fort Cobb, Oklahoma to John Lee and Sadie (Price) Ford. He married Perna Rea McLain in 1935. She died July of 1999. He served in the US Army as a Staff Sergeant with the 441st Troop Carrier Group, 301st Squadron Army Air Corp. He was retired from Civil Service at Fort Sill. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Snyder. He is survived by his nephew Bill McLain and his wife Carol of Oklahoma City, two great nieces, Christina Heck and her husband Keith of Oklahoma City, Angie Carraway and husband Buck of Tomball, TX, great nephew Will Vick and his wife Carrie of Little Elm, TX and their two daughters Hannah and Kassidy.
