Harold Lloyd Carman, 74, of Lawton, Oklahoma, passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, in Lawton. He was born on December 31, 1950, in Stamford, Texas, to Robert Allen and Viola Mae (Tarlton) Carman.
Harold grew up in Wilmer, Texas, where he graduated from high school. He was drafted into the United States Navy in 1969 and served until 1971, primarily as an aircraft mechanic. He also assisted with landing aircraft aboard carriers during the Vietnam War. Harold was honorably discharged on April 5, 1971, in Bainbridge, Maryland.
After his military service, Harold began working for Otis Engineering, which later became part of Halliburton. He spent many years there as both an engineer and an administrator. Later, he became a truck driver, a job he enjoyed until his health no longer allowed him to continue.
Throughout his life, Harold lived for a time with his daughter's family in Grandfield, Oklahoma, as well as with his son in North Richland Hills, Texas.
Harold was known for his skill with his hands and his love of tinkering. He enjoyed a good joke-both hearing them and telling them-and took pleasure in simple outings, especially shopping at Walmart or Sam's Club. He was also fond of a good sandwich, particularly egg salad or tuna salad.
Harold is survived by his two children, daughter, Andrea Montoya and husband Leo of Grandfield, Oklahoma, son, Robert Carman and wife Rosie of North Richland Hills, Texas, three grandchildren, Nichole Theurer and companion Michael of Devol, Oklahoma, Tiffany Theurer of Grandfield, Oklahoma, and Abby Carman of North Richland Hills, Texas, two great grandchildren, Mason and Blake Crane, two sisters, Dianne Petty of Sulphur Bluff, Texas and Wanda Moore and husband Tony of Sulphur Bluff, Texas, one brother, Clyde Carman and wife Teila of Seagoville, Texas, and many other nieces, nephews, and family members.
