Funeral service for Harland "Hugh" Currey, 66, Faxon, will be Saturday, December 8, 2012 at 10:00 am at Cameron Baptist Church with Rev. Bob Jones, Pastor, officiating. Mr. Currey died Wednesday, December 5, 2012 in a local hospital. Burial will be in the Faxon Cemetery, Faxon, Oklahoma under the direction of the Becker Funeral Home & Cremation Service. The family will receive friends on Friday from 5-7 pm at the funeral home. Hugh was born January 6, 1946 in Lawton to Homer and Janett (Rothelle) Currey. He owned his own insurance adjustment company. He married Sharon Fudge on May 4, 1984 in Lawton. He loved to hunt and fish. Hugh also had a passion for street rods and motorcycles. He was the best dad ever. Survivors include his mother, Janett Currey, Faxon; his wife of the home; six children and their spouses, Tonia and Wayne Cassell, Faxon, Ronald and Leah Currey, Lawton, Dewayne and Kelly Currey, Iowa Park, Texas, Melinda and Gary Kinnsch, Thousand Oaks, California, Belinda and Joe Bland, Indiahoma, and Casamarae and William Creacy, Charlie, Texas; fifteen grandchildren; one great grandchild; two sisters, Wynell Easter, Muskogee, Oklahoma, and Carol Meyer, Lawton; and many family members. His father preceded him in death. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's choice.
