Funeral service for Grace V. Taliaferro, 99, Lawton will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, October 21, 2013 at Letitia Baptist Church, with Jim Spurlock, Marlow and Rev. J.D. Ward, Pastor, New Hope United Methodist Church, Oklahoma City, officiating. Mrs. Taliaferro went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, October 15 in Oklahoma City. Burial will be in Letitia Cemetery, east of Lawton under the direction of the Becker-Rabon Funeral Home. *The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 4-6 pm at the funeral home.* Grace was born December 1, 1913 in Russell, Oklahoma to Luther N. and Bonnie Mae (Kerbo) Giddens. She moved to Lawton at an early age and attended Lincoln Elementary School, Lawton Junior High and Yukon High School. She married Bard Taliaferro on January 20, 1940 in Duncan, Oklahoma. He died May 22, 1981. She was a longtime member of Letitia Baptist Church where she was involved in many activities. She will be missed by all who knew her. Survivors include two daughters, Dorothy Bolenbaugh, Michigan and Betty Snow, Lawton; thirteen grandchildren; many great grandchildren; and numerous great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her Husband Bard; a son, Gene Taliaferro; a daughter, Bonnie Minors; two grandchildren, Debbie and Darla Ardry; two brothers, Pete and Lloyd Giddens; and a sister, Lee Swope.
