Obituary

Glen Wesley Voyles, age 59, died February 18, 2019 after a sudden illness. Glen made his entrance into heaven joining his parents, Milton and Faye Voyles, who both passed away in 2018. Glen is survived by his sister, Gayle Voyles of Lawton, Ok.

Glen was born and raised in Lawton. He graduated from Eisenhower High School and Cameron University. Glen played trombone in both the Screaming Eagle Band and the Cameron Aggie Marching Band. Mr. Voyles worked for Lawton Public Schools through his entire career until retiring a few years ago. "Mr. Glen", as the children and faculty affectionately called him, was the Head Custodian at Geronimo Road Elementary School. When he wasn't working, Glen enjoyed playing golf, fishing and taking naps. He loved barbershop quartet, orchestra and big band music.

Glen was a faithful member of the Lawton Heights Church of the Nazarene. He loved his church and centered his life around faith in Jesus Christ. Glen had a huge, generous heart. He seemed to always have a smile on his face and a helping hand wherever and whenever it was needed. Glen will be missed by so many.

Glen's Homegoing Celebration will be at 4:30PM-Sunday, February 24 , 2019 at Lawton Heights Church of the Nazarene with Rev. David Gooding, pastor and Rev. Wendall Buck officiating.

The family requests that instead of flowers, donations may be made to the church.
