Funeral service for Gisela McConnaughey will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 20, 2018 in Becker-Rabon Funeral Home Chapel.

A private family burial will held at the Fort Sill National Cemetery, Elgin, Oklahoma.

Gisela  McConnaughey, age 75, Lawton, died Thursday, March 15, 2018 in Lawton.  She was born December 20, 1942 in Schweinfurt, Germany to Karl and Hilda Mock.  She married Ellsworth J. McConnaughey on January 26, 1962 in Germany.  Gisela was an Army wife who traveled with her husband and children.  The family eventually settled in Lawton.

Gisela was a family person who enjoyed time spent with family.  She liked spending time in her yard, working with her plants as well as sewing, arts and crafts and tending to her home.  If you needed anything she always had time for you.  She was a loving wife, mom, sister, grandma and friend.

She is survived by her husband, of the home; children, Ronny McConnaughey, Lawton and Janie Stringham, Houston, Texas; grandchildren, Ronny Jay McConnaughey, Janell Stringham and Misty De Laval and husband Collin; siblings, Gertrud Franklin, Christa Shope and husband Jim, Anton Mock and wife Doris and Edith Mitchell and husband Robert; great grandchildren, Shane, Mason and Sofia De Laval.

Her parents and a brother, Karl, preceded her in death.
