Gini Barber died Thursday, June 10, 2021 at her residence in Lawton, Oklahoma at the age of 70.  Gini's request was to be cremated.

Gini was born June 17, 1950 in North Tarrytown, New York to George and Lillian Weippert.  Her father worked as a salesman and the family moved often.  She attended 13 schools in 12 years.  She earned her bachelor's degree from St. Francis College in Loretto, Pennsylvania with a major in history and a minor in elementary education.

Gini married Allan D. Barber on December 31, 1971 in Westfield, Massachusetts.  She served as a volunteer with the Fort Sill Thrift Shop, loved to quilt and had a soft spot for animals, especially her cats.

She is survived by her husband, Allan D. Barber, of the home; her daughter and son-in-law, Holly and Steven Marston, Lake Villa, Illinois; four grandchildren, Caitlyn Owens and husband Zach, Jonathan Ostrander, Zoey Ostrander and Moira Marston; and a great granddaughter, Kora Owens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Arthritis Foundation, American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.

Her parents and a sister, Georgia, preceded her in death.
