Funeral service for Gertie Green, 77, Lawton, will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 30, 2014, at the Becker-Rabon Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jim McGuire officiating. Mrs. Green died Wednesday, May 28, 2014, in Lawton. She was born October 4, 1936 in Prague, Czechoslovakia. She grew up in Germany and attended German schools. She married Gerald D. Green on September 18, 1964 in Bamberg, Germany. Following her marriage she moved to the United States and would later become a United States citizen. She was primarily a homemaker but had worked as a food demonstrator for SAMS Club in Lawton for 21 years. She was a member of First Baptist East and the Auxiliary of Vietnam Veterans. She enjoyed gardening and especially loved roses. She is survived by her husband, of the home; two daughters and their spouses, Trudy and Zeldon Rice and Susan and Albert Ozuna, all of Lawton; a son and his wife, Gerald "Butch" and Michelle Green, Ardmore, Oklahoma; 15 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; a brother, Hans Witzko.
