Mrs. Mullins of Lawton, Oklahoma passed away Saturday, March 8, 2025 at her home surrounded by her husband, children and grandchildren at the age of 87.

Alice Gennell Mullins was born on July 5, 1937, in Temple, Oklahoma, to Luther F. and Alice Bernice (Norman) Dixon. After graduating from Temple High School, she married Billy Don Mullins on June 27, 1956, and the couple settled in Lawton, Oklahoma. Together, they shared 68 wonderful years of marriage and were blessed with three children.

Genny, as she was affectionately known, had a fulfilling career that included working at Fort Sill, the Lawton Teachers Federal Credit Union, and various positions at Cameron University, where she eventually retired. One of her favorite roles was working at the ticket booth at Cameron sporting events, where she could combine her love for people and sports.

A devoted sports enthusiast, Genny spent much of her life at ballfields, basketball gyms, and tracks, cheering on her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren as they competed or coached. She had a firm stance against scrimmages, enjoyed dirt track racing, and had a competitive streak when it came to playing cards and dominoes—always keeping the rule book handy to ensure fair play. Before she was homebound, she loved playing bridge at the Center for Creative Living.  In her free time, she loved watching Cameron University games, the OKC Thunder, or any sporting event she could find on TV.

She is survived by her spouse, Billy Don "Big Bill" Mullins, of the home; two sons, Keith Mullins and his wife Cindy, of Newcastle; Kelly Mullins of Lawton; one daughter, Kim Mullins, of Lawton; two brothers, Dale Dixon and wife Sandy, of Mustang; Jason Dixon and wife Lisa of Fair Oaks Ranch, Texas; six grandchildren; granddaughter Brooke Mullins of Elgin; Grandson Chance Mullins and his wife Stacy of Lawton; granddaughter Kelsee Mullins of Lawton; grandsons Travis McBride, spouse Jeremy and Derrick McBride, spouse Kellie and granddaughter Lauren McBride; seven great grandchildren; Braisley Mullins and Boston Wilson; MyLee and LynnLee Mullins, Tyler and Braylee Lawson, and Mason McBride, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and pet companion Lady Bug.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Luther and Bernice Dixon.
