Graveside funeral service for Garrie J. Bass, 58, Lawton, will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 10, 2014, in Highland Cemetery with Chaplain Charles Leggett, Faith Hospice, officiating. Mr. Bass died Monday, December 8, 2014, at his residence. Burial will be under the direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home. Garrie was born July 23, 1956 in Georgia to Ronnie Earl and Ingeborg Bass. He attended Lawton High School and learned to weld at the Great Plains Vo-Tech. He worked for Brown & Root in the building of the Lawton Goodyear Plant and began working for Goodyear in 1979. His hire number was 560. He married Faith Long in 1987 in Texas. He is survived by his wife, of the home; a daughter and son in law, Heather and Chris Goodwin, Olustee, Oklahoma; a son and daughter in law, James and Kylynn Bass, Lawton; four grandchildren, Autumn Breeze and Meadow Rain Goodwin and Lilly M. and Ryder Jean Bass; very special friends, Eddie and Christi Rowell, Debbie and Jim Wutz, Pam Jennings, Dr. Michael Ramos and all of his staff and Cheryl. His parents preceded him in death.
