Age 79, Medicine Park - Services will be at 2:00 PM Friday at the Paradise Valley Baptist Church, North of Lawton, with Dr. Ken Overturf, Pastor, South Side Baptist Church, Fort Smith, Arkansas, officiating. Mrs. Wenkheimer died Monday in Dripping Springs, Texas. Burial will be in the Paradise Valley Cemetery under the direction of the Becker Funeral Home. The family will greet friends from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Thursday at the funeral home. Mrs. Wenkheimer was born December 16, 1928, in Lawton, to Olace and Frieda Tigert. She married Robert R. Wenkheimer on July 23, 1954. As a proud Marine wife and mother of four she served alongside her husband on the home front for 20 years before his retirement in 1971, and then settled on family homestead property north of Lawton. Survivors include her daughter, Susan Kershner, Shawnee, OK; two sons, Karl Wenkheimer, Dripping Springs, TX, and John Wenkheimer, Lawton, OK; a sister, Cindy Herring, Apache, OK; a brother, Charles Sage, California; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
