Graveside service for Frieda F. Stambaugh will be 2:30 p.m. Friday, September 25, 2015 in Post Cemetery, Fort Sill. Arrangements are under the direction of the Becker-Rabon Funeral Home. Frieda F. Stambaugh, age 88, died Thursday, September 24, 2015 in Lawton. She was born on August 2, 1927 in Straubing, Germany to Josef and Rosina Elsner. She grew up in Straubing and married Rance Stambaugh, Jr. on December 4, 1953 in Babenhausen, Germany. He preceded her in death on May 1, 2002. She had worked as a secretary for the U.S. Army prior to moving to the United States but was primarily a homemaker. She was a member of the Catholic Church. She enjoyed her dogs, Bingo and Abby, and working in her yard. She is remembered as being good hearted and freely giving of all she had. She is survived by a niece, Ursula Bauer, as well as several other nieces and nephews.
