In Loving Memory of Frank Gatliff
Frank Gatliff, age 83, peacefully departed from this world on Sunday, January 21, 2024, in Lawton, Oklahoma. Born on April 18, 1940, in Medicine Park, Oklahoma, he was one of nine siblings born to Richard and Virginia Gatliff.
On July 19, 1958, Frank united in marriage with the love of his life, Ellen Davis, in Lawton, Oklahoma. Together, they were blessed with two daughters, Rhonda Clark of Norman, Oklahoma, and Sondra Brown of Lawton, Oklahoma. Their family grew to include six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A devoted member of the First Baptist Church in Lawton, Frank's faith was an integral part of his life. He dedicated many years to sharing his testimony as a born-again Christian. Frank found joy in selling NAPA auto parts, travelling to towns and connecting with people. His customers weren't just patrons; they became friends who sought his guidance and assistance, especially in moments of need.
Frank's love extended beyond his work to encompass his family. He took immense pleasure in spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, cherishing each moment with them.
He is survived by his loving spouse, Ellen Gatliff, their two daughters, Rhonda Clark and Sondra Brown. Frank leaves a lasting legacy through his six grandchildren: Bradley Zimmer, Chad Zimmer, Lora Schultz, Blake Elliott, Cliff Elliott, and Ethan Elliott. Additionally, he is remembered by his seven great-grandchildren: Dillan Zimmer, Addison Zimmer, Weston Setzer, Harrison Elliott, Annie Elliott, Meredith Elliott, and Parker Elliott. His memory will also be cherished by his brother, Carl Gatliff, and numerous nieces and nephews and friends.
A memorial service to celebrate Frank's life will be held at Becker-Rabon Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, January 26, 2024, at 2:00 PM. As we gather to honor and remember Frank Alvin Gatliff, let us reflect on the love, faith, and joy he brought to all who knew him. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
