Funeral for Francis Michael (Mike) Davis will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 25, 2025 at First Baptist West with Rev. Mike Neff officiating.

Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens under the direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home.

The family will greet friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Francis Michael "Mike" Davis, 69, passed away peacefully at his home on August 19, 2025.

Mike was born on December 28, 1955, in Walterboro, South Carolina, to Johnell and Edgar Davis. While working at the Red and White grocery store in Walterboro, he met Gail Thomas. They married and shared six years together, welcoming one son. Mike later moved to North Charleston, South Carolina, where he worked for Bi-Lo Supermarket before beginning a career with Orkin Pest Control in 1983.

It was during his time with Orkin that Mike met the love of his life, Sally Whiteacre. Called to a Wendy's to address flying red ants in the drive-through, he left Sally, then the manager on duty, his business card "just in case." Three years later, she reached out-and the rest was history. Mike and Sally married on April 11, 1987, in North Charleston, and they shared a loving marriage until his final day. Together with their daughter, Meagan, they moved to Lawton, Oklahoma, in 2003.

Mike was a man of many talents and endless resourcefulness. He loved fishing and often reminded Sally of the day she accidentally sold his favorite pole in a garage sale. He could fix or build nearly anything, and if you needed a tool, chances were he had it. Above all, he cherished time with his grandchildren and would do anything for them.

Faith played a central role in Mike's life. He was active in church and faithfully served as a deacon at various congregations throughout his lifetime.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Sally Davis of the home; his son and daughter-in-law, Mike Davis and Jennifer Kuehne of Castro Valley, California; his daughter, Meagan Claunch of Lawton, Oklahoma; his grandchildren, Rose Davis, Damon Claunch, Jr., and Addalee Claunch; three brothers, Chris, Gene, and Jeff; and his sister, Lynn.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Johnell and Edgar Davis, and two brothers, Tommy and Wayne.
