Funeral service for Floy Mary "Flo" Fitzsimmons will be 10:00 AM Friday, November 15, 2019 at University Church of Christ with Eric Sharum, minister officiating.

Burial will follow in Denton Cemetery, east of Lawton under the direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home.

It is with great sadness that John A. Jr. and Sandra Lee announce the passing of their mother, Floy Mary "Flo" Fitzsimmons on Tuesday, November 12, 2019 in Lawton at the age of 97.

Flo (as she was known) was born August 12, 1922 in rural Comanche County to Thurman J. Weger and Cora Lee Perry.  She grew up in the Denton Community and attended Denton School where she played basketball and softball.

Flo and John A. (Jack) Fitzsimmons were married May 21, 1941.  Two Children were born to this union, John A. Jr. and 5 years later, after WWII ended, Sandra Lee was born.

At the time of her death, she was a member of the University Church of Christ.  She was always a member of the Church of Christ.  Flo was dedicated to the Lord and was a Christian woman.  All who knew her loved her and said she was the kindest and sweetest person they knew.  Her children agree.  We know Mom's place in heaven is a sure thing.

Mother was a homemaker, quilter, and loved being outside.  She loved to work in flower beds, pick up limbs and pull weeds.  No weed was safe if she could reach it.

Flo was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Jack, brothers and sisters-in-law, Perry and Bertha (Freeman) Weger, Jacob and Quincey (Hair) Weger, Forrest Weger and Dorothy (Byrd) Weger and Wilburn (Bill) Weger and sisters, Etta Mae Weger and Faye Weger Parks and DC Parks.

She is survived by John A. Jr., Sandra Lee Warren and her son-in-law, Glen.  Flo is also survived by her sister-in-law, Frances (Hair) Weger, nieces, nephews, cousins and a loyal friend, Levada Wampler.
