Felix Gene Smith, born May 29th, 1955, left to become a part of the spirit world on December 9th, 2025. He is preceded in death by his parents Eugene and Jackie Smith, his wife Patricia, his brothers Tim, Chief, and David, his nephew little Matt and many close cousins.

Felix is survived by his daughters Jessica, Jennifer, and son Jeremiah; as well as his grandchildren Gaven, Abbigayle, Spencer, Kaitlyn, and Kooper with bonus grandchildren Nathan, Jacklyn, Allie, and Kylie; Great Grands Raven, Kenzlie, Hatlye, and Ellie.

He is survived by his best friends who also happen to be his brother and sisters: Matt and wife Terry, Wyonzia, Noel, Tom, Tatum, sister-in-laws Oreda and Debbie and special friend Janice. He is also survived by many close cousins, nieces and nephews.

Felix was a father, son, brother, and uncle and he was the best of all of these. If there ever was a steadfast hero with an invisible cape it was Felix.

He had been given many nicknames throughout his lifetime; Fat Man, Flex, Big Brother, Unc, Bodyguard, Papa, Pop, Rescuer, Confident, Wise 'ol Indun, Big Papa and Boss Man. He became everyone's Papa.

Felix was the epitome of a hard working man with the kindest blue eyes, the biggest heart and the strongest hands. He was the first to come to your aide, even if he took his time to get there. He'd have a grin for you when we got there and a "you'll be alright" to hold you over until he got there. You call for help and he would respond with an "I rekon" or "I suppose". He had a twinkle in his eye and a sense of humor to beat most. He would and has quite literally given the shirt off of his back to make sure you are okay.

He was a man, proud of his heritage and if you were lucky enough to be up and around on Saturday mornings, you could experience his personal pow wow streaming through speakers outside over coffee.

To say he will be missed is an extreme understatement. To say he was loved by so many is more than accurate. And to say he left the deepest impression on our hearts and in our world, is the truest of all.
