Faye Voyles, age 87, of Lawton, passed peacefully from this world on Saturday, February, 17, 2018 in Lawton and into the loving arms of Jesus.

Faye was born in Milburn, Oklahoma on February 22, 1930 to Homer and Gertrude Smith. She graduated from Tishomingo High School in 1948. Faye then continued her education attending Murray Junior College, Bethany Nazarene College and East Central State College earning both Bachelor and Master Degrees.  Mrs. Voyles was a dedicated educator for over 35 years; until retiring in 1986 from Lawton Public Schools. She enjoyed many of those years teaching second grade at Woodland Hills Elementary School.

Faye was a faithful member of Lawton Heights Church of the Nazarene. She used her talents and gifts to serve in numerous ways over the past 50 years; teaching Sunday School classes and singing in the choir. Faye also had a wonderful sense of humor and was such a source of joy, laughter and fun. She welcomed many young men and women who were stationed in the military at Fort Sill into her home and her heart; providing home-cooked meals, a place to hang out and a listening ear.  She loved unconditionally and was never lacking hospitality.

In 1952, on June 1st, Faye Smith said "I Do" to Milton G. Voyles. Mr. and Mrs. Voyles were blessed to enjoy over 65 years of marriage. Milton and Faye have two children; Glen W. Voyles and Gayle (Gayedawn) Voyles who both reside in Lawton, Ok. To describe Faye as a wife and a mother, this passage in Proverbs says it best… "Her children stand and bless her. Her husband praises her: there are many virtuous and capable women in the world, but you surpass them all!"

Faye was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Gertrude Smith and sister, Naomi Smith. She is survived by her husband and children.
