Funeral service for Evelyn M. McQuain will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, March 13, 2018 in the Becker-Rabon Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steve Mallow, pastor of Immanuel Baptist Church officiating.

Burial will follow in Letitia Cemetery, east of Lawton.

The family will greet friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home.

Evelyn M. McQuain, age 84, of Lawton, passed away Friday, March 9, 2018 in Lawton.  She was born November 23, 1933 in Lawton to Samuel R. and Alta W. (Riley) Shultz.  Evelyn McQuain was not only a devoted and loving mother who raised six children, she was also a grandmother, great grandmother, sister and a loving friend.  She worked at McMahon-Tomlinson Nursing Center for twenty-seven years and later retired.  Her hobbies included dominos (which she loved) and pronounced herself "The Queen", going to Adult Daycare at Goodwill and spending precious time with family and friends.  She enjoyed making people smile.  She was loved by many.  Evelyn battled two rounds of breast cancer and three tragic strokes.  She was more than just a mother and grandmother, she was a fighter!!.  No matter what life threw her way, she lived life to the fullest.

Survivors include three daughters, Donna (Ed) Pallares-Brammer, Joyce McQuain-Mozie and Denise McQuain,  three sons, Bobby E. McQuain, Jr., James D. McQuain and Jerry D. (Donna Salas) McQuain, all of Lawton, six grandchildren, Carlos, Christina, Savannah, David, Dustin and Heather, ten great grandchildren, sister, Reva F. Roach, Lawton, numerous nieces and nephews including a special niece, Debbie and a special daughter, Cristal Skye (Todd) Green of Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers and their spouses, Albert and Peggy Shultz and Charlie and Susie Shultz and brother-in-law, F.D. Roach.

The family wishes to thank the staff and nurses at Cedar Crest Manor and the Goodwill Adult Day Care Staff.
