Funeral service for Evelyn J. John will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 5, 2019 in the Cameron Baptist Church Fellowship Center with Rev. Mike Teel, Pastor officiating.

Arrangements are under direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home.

Evelyn J. John died Friday, August 2, 2019 in Lawton, Oklahoma at the age of 85.  She was born April 22, 1934 in Apache, Oklahoma to Delbert and Julia McCarty.  She grew up in Apache and was a graduate of Apache High School.  She later graduated beauty school and worked as a beautician for a short time.  She stayed at home to raise her children and after they were grown became a realtor.  She worked for VIP Realty and also Parks-Jones Realty.  She married Don W. John on May 22, 1953 in Lawton.

She was a member of Cameron Baptist Church.  She enjoyed sewing and collecting things.

She is survived by her husband, Don W. John; three children, Cindy Claborn and her partner Stephen Watson, Tulsa, Oklahoma; Stephanie Sydenham and husband Stan, Austin, Texas and Brent John, Lawton; her daughter-in-law, Linda John, Lawton; 15 grandchildren and their spouses, Crystal John, Lawton, Todd Claborn, Tulsa, Tiffany Claborn, Lawton, Candice and Eric Sendejas, Austin, Texas, Lashelle and Dr. Cameron Poage, Austin, Texas, Dr.'s Blake and Emily John, Edmond, Oklahoma, Matt and Ravone John, Bentonville, Arkansas, Jade Harle, Lawton, Roger and Karli Harle, Dallas, Texas and Joshua Braydon John, Lawton; 13 great grandchildren, Ashley, Ryder, Derek, Christian, Camdyn, Jeremiah, Henry, Hayden, Barrett, Rowan, Ellie, Nathan and Simeon; and two great great grandchildren, Ayva and Asher.

Her son, Randy John, preceded her in death.
