Obituary

Age 70, Lawton - Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday in the St. John Lutheran Church with Rev. Richard Mayer, Pastor, officiating. Mrs. McNally died Tuesday, November 13, 2007 in Lawton. Burial will be Monday, November 19, 2007 in the Post Cemetery, Fort Sill, under the direction of the Becker Funeral Home. She was born March 15, 1937 in the family farmhouse near Hillsdale, Oklahoma, to Fred and Alberta (Reim) Wilcox. She was a 1955 graduate of Hillsdale High School. She married MSG (Retired) Marvin McNally on October 16, 1954 in Enid. The following list of memberships, activities and volunteerism is by no way a complete one. The list would be too long and still not encompass all that was the life of Eva McNally. Eva Bernice (Wilcox) McNally was a devoted Army wife for 20+years. She was a fireball of a mother, a cool and supportive grandmother and doting great grandmother. Eva McNally was a member of St. John Lutheran Church for over 35 years. She was a lifetime member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She was known as Coach McNally for 26 years. At different times, she coached volleyball, basketball, soccer, baseball, football and softball for Edison, Brockland and Crosby Park Elementary schools, Shakey's Pizza and Gabby's Pizza. Eva McNally was an ambassador for the City of Lawton and Museum of the Great Plains. She sat on the board of the J. Roy Dunning Shelter, City of Lawton Parks and Recreation and the LaSill Optimist Club. Mrs. McNally was a member of the Dazzling Sooner Divas Chapter of the Red Hat Ladies Society. She was a volunteer and member of the Pleasant Valley Senior Citizen Center for many years. Wherever there was a need for children and senior citizens, Eva was there to give of her time, her many skills and talents and of her generous nature and heart. Eva Bernice (Wilcox) McNally was a Christian, a proud American, a huge Sooner fan, a dedicated Oklahoman, Lawtonian and humanitarian. The bright light that was within Eva McNally will forever shine. She is survived by her husband, of the home; four children and their spouses, Doug and Janet McNally, Lawton; Deborah McNally Womble and husband Don, Lawton; Deena and Karl Lorett, Zurich, Montana; and David and Penny McNally, Lawton; daughter in law, Barbara McNally, 27 grandchildren, Kathleen, Elisabeth, Bruce, Heather, Kimberly, Justin, Heather, Evan, Meagan, William, Danaon, Lanaia, Analani, Haley, Steven, Korben, Hailey, Hermoinee, Saxxon, C.J., Dalton, Justin and Jessica, Ethan, Gabriel, Azah & Amiere; five great grandchildren, Abby, Emma, Jake, Roman and Destin; her mother, Alberta Wilcox, Hillsdale, Oklahoma. Her father, Frederick, a brother, Phillip, a sister, Lorene, a niece, Cindy, and a grandson, Dylon, preceded her in death. Memorial contributions may be made to the J. Roy Dunning Children's Shelter.
