Age 75, Lawton - Word has been received of his death. Mr. Culver died Wednesday at his residence. Private family burial will be held under the direction of Becker Funeral Home. He was born October 27, 1932 in Parkers Prairie, MN to Kenneth and Vera (Hardy) Culver. He married Doris Widmann on January 22, 1955 in Schwabisch-Gemund, Germany. He was retired from the US Army after 32 years service, in which he served two tours in Vietnam. After his retirement he worked Civil Service at Fort Sill for 20 years. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science in only three years time. This was something he was very proud of. Survivors include his wife Doris of the home, three children, Linda Phillips and her husband Mike of League City, TX, Steven Culver and his wife Lesli of Tampa, FL and Deborah Recklein and husband Don of Lawton, OK. He is also survived by three sisters, Verla Osterloh of Monett, MO, Carolyn White of Independence, MO, Margie Henderson of Greenville, SC, six grandchildren, Alyssa Culver of Woonsocket, RI, Ashley Recklein and Michael Recklein of Lawton, OK, Kelly Taylor of Austin, TX, Scott Taylor of Salt Lake City, UT, Brian Taylor of Chicago, IL and numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jon Culver and two sisters, Marilyn McCracken and Evelyn Wilkening.
