Age 86, Sterling - Services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Becker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel. Mrs. Prevatte died Saturday in a Lawton hospital. Entombment will be in the Chapel of Peace Mausoleum at Sunset Memorial Gardens. She was born August 1, 1921 in Boston, Massachusetts, to Cleveland S. and Margaret (Donlan) DeRoche. She grew up in Boston and was a 1938 graduate of Jeremiah E. Burk High School. She married William G. "Bill" Prevatte on August 18, 1945 in Boston. He preceded her in death on May 10, 2000. She had worked in the grocery business for Hughes Market in San Fernando Valley, California, for 15 years, retiring in 1975. She had been a resident of this area since 1980. She is survived by a daughter and son in law, Rita M. and Lyle Williams, Sterling; a son, William G. Prevatte, Jr., Little Rock, California; seven grandchildren and their spouses, Jennifer and David Spriggs, Dustin Williams, Kimberly and Brian Nighswonger, Stephanie Nichols, Ted Prevatte, Billy Prevatte and John Prevatte; 6 great grandchildren. A daughter, Star Cowan, two sisters, Rita M. DeRoche Fern and Margaret Morgan and two brothers, Walter J. DeRoche and Billy DeRoche preceded her in death.
