Emagene Rose Smith, age 92, died Thursday, June 30, 2022 in Lawton, Oklahoma.  She was born May 7, 1930 in Biggs, California to Fred Louis and Emma Retta (Rose) Abreu.  She married Joseph Orval Smith on May 15, 1947 in Reno, Nevada.  He preceded her in death in 1981.

Mrs. Smith was primarily a homemaker and enjoyed caring for her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her four children, Joseph Smith, William E. Smith, Ronald Smith and Sandra J. Mello; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; and two sisters, Ethel M. Berry and Eva Helen Johnson.

Her parents, a step son, Orval Smith, her brother, Fred Edwin Abreu, and three sisters, Georgia A. Sober, Mabel Ann Gerke and Freda Marie Smith, preceded her in death.
