Age 56, Lawton - Funeral services will be 1:30 pm Monday at the Becker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Rev. Del Traffanstedt, Minister to College Students, Oak Crest Baptist Church, Midlothian, Texas officiating. Mrs. Matos died Tuesday at a local hospital. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Elsa was born in the Panama Canal Zone on December 19, 1952 to Angel and Felicita Santos. She grew up and attended schools in Lawton. She married Mario Rafael Matos on March 24, 1984. She was a loving wife and mother, bringing many years of love and care. She was known as "Honey" to her grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was very proud of her children and grandchildren. Survivors include her husband of the home; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Thomas Walter Powell and Dan Walter Powell and Allison, all of Houston, Texas; a daughter and son-in-law, Mitzi Leigh and Chris Lafond of Sapulpa, OK; her mother, Felicita Santos of Lawton; seven grandchildren, Christopher Powell, Jasmine Leigh Martin, Haley Maria Lafond, Tatiana Delosantos, Delilah Delosantos, Danielle Powell and Tyshon Powell; four brothers, Luis Santos and his wife Lynn of California, Osbaldo Santos of Washington, Omar Santos and his wife Debbie of Austin, Texas and Rafael Santos and his wife Jerri of Lawton; three sisters, Lulu Shelton of South Carolina, Diana Oliver and her husband Anthony of Lawton and Rosa Randell and her husband George of Houston, Texas; and many nieces and nephews. Her father, a brother, Angel Santos, Jr. and a grandson, Elijah Powell preceded her in death.
