Funeral for Ellen Naomi Sims, 96, Lawton will be at 1:00 PM Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at Cameron Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Teel, pastor officiating. Mrs. Sims died Monday, September, 8, 2014 in Lawton. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens under the direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home. She was born March 2, 1918 in Sunset, Texas to Tell and Beulah Mae (Grayson) Vowell. She married Elvin Edward Sims on March 5, 1942 in Lawton. He died November 22, 1982. Mrs. Sims was a lifetime member of Cameron Baptist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Jannette Green, Lawton and Charlotte A. Joiner, Siloam Springs, Arkansas, six grandchildren, Jerry Green, Leander, Texas, Keith Green, Tuttle, Oklahoma, Stephanie Orf, Apache, Oklahoma, Cary Conway, Chickasha, Oklahoma, Tina Bogle, Bentonville, Arkansas and James Joiner, Siloam Springs, Arkansas, thirteen great grandchildren and a brother, Ralph Pannell, California. She was preceded in death by her husband, daughter, Gwendolyn Logan, three brothers, Raymond and Naymond Vowell and Ray Pannell and two sisters, Ileta Lyle and Alta Vowell.
