Funeral service for Ellen Brock, 89, Lawton will be at 1:30 pm Friday in the Centenary United Methodist Church with Rev. Cydni Tillery, Associate Pastor, Centenary United Methodist Church and Rev. Mike Teel, Senior Pastor , Cameron Baptist Church Lawton, OK officiating. Ellen passed away Saturday, October 10, 2015. Burial will be at the Highland Cemetery under the direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home. The family will greet friends from 5-7 pm Thursday evening at the funeral home. Ellen was born October 1, 1926 in Greenfield, OK to Claude and Laura (Dorland) Ruhl. Ellen had 8 siblings. Ellen was a dedicated wife, mother, daughter, aunt and a doting grandmother. She was active in her children's lives and helped her dad run a book and office supply store for many years. Ellen married Max O. Brock, Jr. in Lawton, Ok on September 4, 1949. They were married 54 years. He preceded her in death on August 11, 2004. She had a 33 year career as Administrative Assistant to the Comanche County District Attorney Office. She served as Secretary -Treasurer from 1986 -1987 for the Oklahoma District Attorney Association and many years as Comanche County City Attorney Association Secretary. She loved to travel with friends, work in her yard, watch sports and keep up with her 2 granddaughter's accomplishments. She was Mom, Grandmama and Grandma B to others. Ellen is survived by her daughter, Lyn Brock, Lawton, OK, son, Dr. Barry Brock and his wife Mary, North Wales, PA, Granddaughters, Meg Lewis and Laura Brock, her beloved dogs Molly and Samson, niece, Wanda Compton, Watonga, OK. She was preceded in death by her husband, and a son Tommy. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Oklahoma chapter of the American Heart Association, The American Cancer Society, or a charity of the donor's choice.
