Funeral for Ella Louise "Lou" Holman-Daniel, 70, Lawton will be at 11:00 AM Friday at the Friendship Baptist Church with Pastor W.A. Wilson officiating. Mrs. Holman-Daniel died Friday, September 2, 2011 in Lawton. Burial will be at Post Cemetery, Fort Sill, under the direction of Becker Funeral Home & Cremation Service. She was born on January 6, 1941 in Hugo, Oklahoma to Eli and Rosie Lee (Jones) Holman. She married Henry R. Daniel on May 8, 1982 in Hugo, Oklahoma, and he passed away in September 1991. Mrs. Daniel was a longtime member of Friendship Baptist Church, Lawton, where she served as a church mother, member of the mission, and on the hospitality committee. Mrs. Daniel was employed as a chef/cook for the Owens Multipurpose Center for over twenty- one years. She was a foster parent for a number of children and adopted a daughter, Ashley Nicole at the age of 9 years. She helped raise and considered her own, Arkeivan Bradford and Rayshawn Major, grandchildren of her nephew and niece, Michael Petty and Carolyn Major. She leaves to mourn her passing a daughter, Ashley; 2 grandchildren, Arkeivan and Rayshawn; a sister, Lorene Cromwell, Columbus, Ohio; 5 Brothers, Marina Holman, Mississippi, Harold Holman, Killeen, Texas, Clarence, Harvey and Eli Holman all of Hugo; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; special friends, Mary Davis, Jean Stewart, Janet McGee and Kennedy Davis. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
