Elisabeth M. Dawson, age 88, of Lawton, OK, was peacefully called to be with our Lord on Friday, June 2 nd , 2017. She was born on October 2 nd , 1928 in Schwabisch Gmund, Germany, to Karl and Maria Lipp and grew up in Eislingen/Fils in the state of Wurtemburg, Germany.
After completing school, she worked as a secretary for the US Army at Cooke Barracks in Goppingen, Germany where she met her future husband, Sgt Pancho V. Dawson. They were married on February 13, 1952 in Aschaffenburg, Germany. They moved to Fort Smith, AR with Sgt Dawson then leaving to join US Forces in the Korean Conflict. She loved gardening, having one of the prettiest yards in the neighborhood and some of the best vegetables around. She also enjoyed cooking, easily blending German and American cuisine in an artful manner.
She is preceded in death by both her parents, Karl and Maria Lipp, a son, James P Dawson.
