Graveside funeral service for Elfriede Maria O'Grady will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 31, 2017 in Post Cemetery, Fort Sill under direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home.

The family will greet friends from 6-8 pm Thursday at the funeral home.

Elfriede Maria O'Grady, age 99, Lawton, died Wednesday, March 29, 2017 in Lawton.   She was born January 18, 1918 in Krottenborf, Germany to Johann and Marie Sibylla Ida Sczesny.  She grew up in Germany and married SSG (Retired) Robert L. O'Grady on March 1, 1957 in Badhersfield, Germany.  He preceded her in death on May 29, 1997.

Elfriede had been a Lawton resident since 1958.  She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.  She enjoyed playing cards and loved cats.

She is survived by her special friends, Walter Rachwal and his son Steven Rachwal and wife Milissa and their daughter, Olivia.

Her best friend, Herta "Dolly" Rachwal, preceded her in death.
