After World War II ended, her long red hair caught the attention of returning soldier, Kenneth L. Youngblood. After returning to Lawton, Dorothy was the office manager for the Bell Telephone Credit Union. Her ready smile and love of life won her many great friends across the globe, but her china painting and tennis buddies from Lawton were especially dear to her.
