Funeral for Dorothy Augusta Russell, 85, Lawton will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday at Immanuel Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Mallow, pastor officiating. Mrs. Russell died Saturday in Lawton. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens under the direction of Becker Funeral Home & Cremation Service. She was born August 2, 1925 in Mountain Park, Oklahoma to Oscar and Mary (Gillman) Dunford. She married John W. Russell on October 5, 1946 in Chickasha. He died in Korea in 1950. Mrs. Russell was a longtime member of Immanuel Baptist Church. Survivors include a son, Johnny Ray Russell, Dallas, Texas, a daughter, Ida M. Russell, of the home and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Virgin, Leonard and Johnny Dunford and three sisters, Margaret McConnell, Elsie Barnhart and Irene Shankle.
