Graveside service for Dorothy Marie Henson will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday, September 28, 2023 at Duncan City Cemetery, Duncan, Oklahoma with Katherine Rainwater, sister-in-law, of Cedar City, Utah officiating.

Burial is under the direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home.

Dorothy Marie Henson, 85, Lawton, Oklahoma passed away Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at her home in Lawton with her daughter and grandson at her side. She was born November 29, 1937 in Corona, California to Clifford and Lois (Berg) Henson. Dorothy was born and raised in Corona, California. She married Burel Rainwater and later married Harold Hutchinson. She first began working for AeroJet General Corporation in California and later for Boeing Corporation in Washington State as a cockpit assembly specialist where she later retired in the late 1990's. Once retiring she moved back to California, then Washington State, back to California, Washington State, Duncan, Oklahoma, Dassel, Minnesota, and finally ending up in Lawton, Oklahoma where she lived with her daughter after her daughter Carol's husband passed. She loved cooking shows especially Mexican food. She was a good cook herself, loved to travel, camp, fish, and picnic. She loved her family very much, especially the grandchildren.

Dorothy is survived by one son, Clifford Rainwater and wife Katherine of Cedar City, Utah, daughter, Carol Anderson of Lawton, Oklahoma, seven grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and one sister, Virginia Henson of Austin, Texas.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Julie Hutchinson, two sisters, Shirley Berry and Susan Simpson.
