Dorothy Faye Blackstock, 91, passed away on Sunday, November 23, 2025, in Lawton, Oklahoma. She was born on March 30, 1934, in Lawton to Herbert and Gertrude (Adair) Swann.
On August 9, 1952, Dorothy married the love of her life, SSG (Retired) William H. Blackstock, in Lawton. Their life together took them to many places due to his Army service, including Lawton, Oklahoma; Fort Benning, Georgia; Fort Polk, Louisiana; Fort Lee, Virginia; Germany; Marietta, Georgia; Fort Hood, Texas; and Fort Sill, Oklahoma. After being diagnosed with age-related macular degeneration and losing her sight, Dorothy's resilience and faith never wavered. She remained active in her church community and deeply involved in the lives of her loved ones.
Dorothy enjoyed sewing, spending time with family, and savoring a good cup of coffee. She loved reading the newspaper and completing crossword puzzles, and she cherished any moment spent with those she held dear. Above all, Dorothy loved the Lord with her whole heart. She was her family's prayer warrior-steadfast, faithful, and always lifting others up in prayer.
She will be remembered for her strength, kindness, unwavering faith, and the deep love she shared with her family and friends.
