Funeral service for Doris Maxine Strohm, 84, Lawton, will be 10:00 a.m. Friday in the Becker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Gene Escoe, Pastor, Trinity Baptist Church officiating. Mrs. Strohm died Friday, April 1, in a Lawton care center. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens under the direction of the Becker Funeral Home & Cremation Service. She was born June 1, 1926 in Flatwoods, Louisiana, to William Wesley White & Martha Izilla Edwards. She married Alvin Wayne Strohm on May 4, 1950 in Alexandria, Louisiana. He preceded her in death on February 7, 1998. She was a homemaker and a member of Trinity Baptist Church. She is survived by two sons: Michael Edward Strohm of Fayetteville, NC & Carl David Strohm of Leesville, LA; six Grand children: Alan Colton Strohm of New York City, NY, Amy Jeanette Strohm of Fairbanks, AK, Deanna Elaine Strohm of Dayton, OH, Rebecca Doris Adkins of Reading, England, Allison Eleanor Adkins of Sandhurst, England & Jonathan Thomas Hardy of Leesville, LA; two sisters-in-law: Marie Cryer White of Flatwoods, LA, Loretta Strohm Morell of IL; two brothers-in-law: Roger Strohm of IL & Merle Strohm of Springfield, MO. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Wayne Strohm; her son, Alvin Wayne Strohm Jr. on May 21 1968; three brothers: Joseph Cade White, George White & Willie Carrol White; three sisters: Etta May Dyess, Anna Dyess & Rubenia Setlef.
