Funeral for Doris B. Cornett will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at Cameron Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Teel, pastor officiating.

Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery under the direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home.

The family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at the funeral home.

Doris B. Cornett, 88, of Lawton, passed away Saturday, June 28, 2025 at her home. She was born November 15, 1936 in Boise, Idaho to Clyde and Ida B. (King) Brandenburg. She married Walter Kensell Cornett on December 24, 1954 in Lawton. He died November 27, 2003. Mrs. Cornett worked for Meadors Department Store for thirty-five years.  She retired to complete many crafts and to travel. She spent her last four years attending Nora O'Neal Adult Day Care, where she was the life of the party. She was an active member of Cameron Baptist Church until her health prevented her from attending.

Survivors include her daughter, Sandra L. Cornett and her partner, Joanne Foley, Lawton, sister, Naomi Moore and her husband, Roger, Elgin, niece Alicia Newport and her husband, Robert, Lawton, nephew, Ricky Moore and his fiancé, Tammy Weatherly, Lawton, many cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
