Age 78, Lawton - Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday at Cameron Baptist Church with Rev. Bob Jones, pastor and Rev. Mike Teel, associate pastor officiating. Mr. Russell died Thursday in Lawton. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens under the direction of Becker Funeral Home & Cremation Service. He was born August 22, 1932 in Oklahoma City to Everett M. and Alvie O. Russell. He grew up in Ryan and moved to Lawton in 1941. He attended Emerson Grade School and graduated from Lawton High School in 1951. He married Reta Rose Smith on November 10, 1951 in Lawton. Mr. Russell had been employed by Safeway Grocery for seventeen years, Arkla Gas for two years, AP & P Grocery for seven years and Hall Building Products for thirty five years. He was a member of Cameron Baptist Church where he was a deacon and a teacher. He is survived by his wife, of the home, three sons and their spouses, Ronnie Ray and Stephanie Russell, Carrolton, Texas, Randy Don and Ruth Russell, Montgomery, Alabama, and Richard Dean and Francie Russell, Meeker, Oklahoma, a daughter, Sherri Lynn Forrest, Watonga, Oklahoma, eleven grandchildren, Chris Russell, Tony Russell, Brandon Forrest, Jamie Forrest, Julie Forrest, Angela Russell, Katherine Russell, Ricci Smith, Freddie Russell, April Scarberry and David Soliday, seven great grandchildren, Joshua, Isabella, Paden, Sidney, Hunter, Ryder and Rhyanne and many nieces and nephews.
