Age 53, Lawton - Memorial services will be at 4:00 PM Wednesday in the Becker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Terry Marsh, Minister, Carriage Hills Christian Church, officiating. Mrs. Shaw died Monday at her home. She was born on June 1, 1954 in New Bedford, Massachusetts to Thomas and Mary Ellenor (Johnson) Whitley. She grew up in Northern California and attended Casa Robles High School in Citrus Heights, California. She later attended the College of Great Falls in Montana. She married James Shaw on September 18, 1985 in California. She moved to Lawton twelve years ago. She worked for Consolidated Electrical Supply for ten years. Survivors include her husband of the home; four children, Stacy Hamilton and her husband, Sean, of Lawton, James Gentry and his wife, Lisa, of Sacramento, California, Alesha Buenteo and her husband, Chaston, of Lawton, and Jillery Slaughter and her husband, Edward, II, of Fort Hood, Texas; nine grandchildren, Brandon and Dakota Hamilton of Lawton, Kyla, Jamie and Drake Gentry of Sacramento, California, Alexis Buenteo of Lawton, and Edward, III, Jocelyn and Angelina Slaughter of Fort Hood, Texas; her parents of Roseville, California; three sisters, Deborah Pomeroy, Lisa Poland and her husband, Ramsey, all of Granite Bay, California, and Pamela Long and her husband, Kevin, of Roseville, California; a sister-in-law, Cindy Baker and her husband, Sumner, of Corona, California; her mother-in-law, Virginia Womack of Lawton; and many more family members and friends.
