Funeral service for Donna Sue Putney will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 25, 2018, at the Becker-Rabon Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Mike Tompkins of Faith Hospice officiating.

Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Donna Sue Putney, 81, died Tuesday, May 22, 2018, at her home in Lawton.  She was born July 25, 1936, in Wewoka, Oklahoma, to Monroe Davis and Laura (Coder) Little.  She married Robert Eugene Putney on May 29, 1953 in Lawton. Robert died on October 26, 1991.

Donna held several jobs during her lifetime. She worked at the Great Plains Tech Center when it first opened as a food handler instructor and she worked at the Flower Mound School as a cook. She was very proud to work at the J Roy Dunning Children's Shelter as a youth care worker. Donna also kept the books for her son Robert's business, The Putney Trucking and Transfer Company.

Donna loved to read and enjoyed her privacy very much. She was very devoted to her grandkids and family and was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be missed by all.

She is survived by two sons, Robert Putney of Lawton and Alan Putney and wife Becky of Lawton, three grandchildren, Scott Alan Putney of Lawton, Clayton Mitchell Putney of Lawton and Chelsea Gould and husband Clay of Lawton, one great grandchild, Harper Gould.

Her parents, husband, one brother and one sister preceded her in death.
