Private family services will be held for Dianne M. "Dee" Brown.

Dianne M. "Dee" Brown, age 89, Lawton, died Tuesday, August 29, 2017 in Lawton.  She was born July 22, 1928 in Bermuda to John Henry and Gladys Minton.  She grew up in Bermuda and moved to the United States with her family where she graduated high school.  She later moved to Hawaii where she attended college.  While in Hawaii she married Colonel (Retired) William D. "Bill" Brown on February 18, 1950 at Fort Shafter, Oahu, Territory of Hawaii.  He preceded her in death on August 8, 2004.

Dee was Catholic and had been active with the women's group with the Fort Sill Catholic Community.  She loved animals.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, William John and Danelle Brown, Georgetown, Texas; three daughters and sons-in-law, Gail and Terry Bolding, Lawton, Judy and Bill Messick, Marshfield, Missouri and Barbara Smith, Lawton; seven grandchildren, Christy Mebane, Mark Messick and wife Lisa, Lacey Messick, Megan Smith, Lindsey Cartwright and husband Jonathan, Ryan Smith and wife Meagan and Kayla Rumfelt and husband Jared; 12 great grandchildren; and her sister-in-law, Barbara Minton, Hawaii.

Her parents and a brother, Jack Minton, preceded her in death.
